McCartney burns rubber (or at least he used to )

I read a funny story today about the Beatles, wherein in was relayed that the Fab Four, early in their careers, used to allegedly set fire to condoms for "extra lighting" during their sets. Ah yes, the 60's: the decade where rubbers were burned instead of used. This practice upset the Germans, who went so far as to deport McCartney after one of these "contraceptive incidents". In an interview, McCartney said, "Let's get it clear, they weren't used".
