Stop Bugging me Grammar! I don't want to "Do" you

The title of my Grammar of Modern English textbook has been bothering me lately. It's entitled, "Doing Grammar", and it couldn't fit the act of completing homework for the class any worse. What am I, making love to the sentences? Getting freaky with verbs and adverbs and maybe some noun clauses if I'm lucky? Please, if grammar ever wants me to "do" it without extreme reluctance, it better make itself a hell of a lot more attractive.
